Intelligent Opening Sensor

Saves Energy

Prevent them from using the air conditioner with doors or windows open.

Automatic shutdown

Automatically turns off the Air Conditioner when a door or window is left open for more than the set time.

Automatic ignition

Once the door or window is closed again, the A/C turns on (recovers its status) automatically.

This function can be deactivated so that once turned off it remains off.

Ignition Lockout

Having an Aria wall control blocks the A/C from turning on when a door or window is open.

The Aria shows on its display that there is an open door/window so the user knows the reason for not turning the A/C on.

Configurable time

It is possible to set the waiting time before turning off the A/C so that it is not immediate and thus give people the opportunity to open and close the door to exit or enter.

*Requires a Cuby (G4, G4 pro or Cuby Aria). It is suggested to use an Aria Wall Control to guarantee its correct operation.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it compatible with my Air Conditioner?

Compatibility with air conditioners is the same as with Cuby G4 or Cuby Aria. You can check the section for each of those products to review the compatibility in detail.

In summary it is compatible with:
- All minisplits (using Cuby G4, G4 Pro, Cuby Aria IR)
- Fan and coil umatch/vrf (using Cuby Aria V)
- Chilled water fan and coil (using Cuby Aria F&C)
- Package equipment (using Cuby Aria 24V)
- PTAC or console equipment (using Cuby PTAC)

What is the warranty?

Warranty against defects: Bee has a 1-year warranty against defects.

Satisfaction Guarantee: You have 30 days from the date of purchase to request a return. You will be able to return the product in good condition and we will refund the total amount of your purchase.

Can it be placed outdoors?

The sensor is for indoor use only. In case you need to install it outdoors please contact us to request a version with humidity protection (not waterproof). This humidity treatment has an extra cost.

How many doors/windows can be monitored?

20 doors or windows is the maximum that can be monitored per Cuby.

Can 2 or more Cuby use the same sensor?

Yes, it is possible for 2 or more Cubys to share 1 or more Bee (or Sentry) door sensors.

How is it installed?

1. Configure with the App to assign the sensor to 1 or more Cubys and then configure the shutdown times.
2. Stick or screw it to the door or window to be monitored.

Does it require a Cuby to operate?

Yes, a Cuby (G4, G4 Pro or Cuby Aria) is required for sensor operation.

Does it require an Aria Control to operate?

It is possible in certain cases to use the Bee without an Aria (only with a Cuby G4) but it is not suggested since using an Aria achieves a superior performance because it is possible to block the ignition and show on the screen of the Aria that the reason why the A/C does not turn on is because of an open door or window.

In case you want to use the Bee without Aria (only with Cuby) then the following conditions must be met:

1. The Cuby must be placed very close to the A/C so that it detects when the A/C is turned on with the original remote control.
The Cuby must be able to decode the protocol used by the remote control. This is possible in most cases but not all.

How long do the batteries last?

The duration varies between 3 and 5 years. Uses 2 AAA batteries (included and replaceable).

Does it have any connection? How does it control the A/C?

The sensor is 100% wireless. It is integrated with a Cuby and it is this that sends the shutdown signal to the A/C.
